Absolute Poker Is A Scam
I haven't done this yet in my nearly 2 years of blogging but I'm going to give you all a warning. Do not play at Absolute Poker. If you have money there withdraw it immediately and count yourself lucky if you receive it.
I tried to cash out there for $10,000 and have not received my money. Their site says I should have my funds within 48 hours, which is absurdly slow to begin with, and it is now going on 5 days. I have emailed them numerous times and have received no useful response from anyone. I did get one reply from the cashier department that said "since you have contacted the Cashier department I will make sure to forward your email to the correct Department". If the cashier department isn't the one in charge of this sort of thing I don't know why it even exists.
One of the prop hosts told me yesterday afternoon (on New Year's Eve) that someone from Absolute would call me within an hour. That was a day and a half ago and nobody has called. He also told me that they pay out over a quarter mil per week in prop pay. It's pretty easy to pay that much when you just put it in their account and then don't let them cash out. I think I'll make my own site and just promise all real money players who play 2,000 hands of $5/$10 or above $1 million per week in prop pay. Then I'll put it in their account and not let them cash out either it or their initial deposit.
I have no idea if this terrible site intends on paying me. I won't be surprised if they don't at this point. Everything about their operation is so shoddy that it would hardly surprise me if they are simply grabbing what they can before their crappy little site sinks. It can't be making any money, as nobody in the world could possibly play there without 100% rake back.
They are either going out of business and not letting people cash out or they are the most ridiculously bad site online. Either way I'll never play there again. I just cashed out the same amount from Poker Stars and within seconds it was in my Neteller account. Party Poker takes an hour or two. Five days with no contact is just ridiculous.
I also have serious concerns about the security on Absolute Poker. I can't imagine that software that poor could be very secure. They can't even get their software to show the correct cards in the instant hand history window, how are they supposed to make a decent random number generator? A repeat of what happened to Planet Poker, or perhaps something worse, would not surprise me.
In any case they are either thieves or idiots and I don't feel my money is safe there. And this is coming from a guy who keeps a lot of money in a lot of different poker sites. Pretty much all I can hope for now is that I save other people from losing their money to these thieves as I have. I have enough in that account to buy a nice car and I'll be surprised if I manage get it out.

Sounds like atrocious customer service along with a delay due to the size of the cashout. I know a guy who used to play for a living that played there exclusively, needed the prop pay to survive. Eventually, he gave up on poker.
Calling it a scam could be a little overkill, but there's certainly no reason to ever play somewhere like that.

If you start a site, www.onlinepokerpolice.com, or something similar it could be very popular. Complaints coming from a reputable player, like you, could make a difference. Visitors could post problems with sites, and you (or other site memebers) could try them out yourself to verify them.
There are too many "poker review" sites trying to convince people that online poker is a complete scam (pattern maps, setups, etc.), but not any real reputable complaint sites.
Anyway, thanks for the heads-up on absolute. They are no longer on my list of sites to visit. (although 10K is about 20 times the amount I ever withdraw)
Even if these guys had most of their staff off for the holidays, they could at least give some warning... that's the least they could do.

playing on AP now..
we are getting duplicate cards.. like A spade in hand and on flop..
now the flops are all the same and the hands are rotating around table..
support won't help me out..
we are all stuck on this real money table.. noone wants to leave or will lose buy in..
if it is so 'random' then why is this happening !!
